1. Grateful for Gourds

In lieu of the traditional fall palette of warm tones, our Lead Designer, Rain Gu, weaves together neutral shades and a cornucopia of natural textures to create a creamy off-white scene. Front and center are a row of white gourds and mini pumpkins of varying heights.

She compliments a simple linen tablecloth with beige and muted gold chargers, dried fair foliage, and tall taper candles for drama - perfect for that Napa Valley inspired home. The Adeline iridescent glass, waterfall chandelier with gold-leafed iron garnishes the entire scene with a hint of glam. The taupe, woven buffalo hide chairs from Pottery Barn pay homage to the iconic woven basket - the symbol of the Thanksgiving holiday.

2. Free-Spirited Friendsgiving

For those intimate friendsgivings, a small feast is best enjoyed at the coffee table, sitting boho style on poufs and a large woven rug. Create a bohemian festival feel by setting your feast atop a vintage steamer trunk sprinkled with rustic wooden platters and terracotta bowls. Gold accents add the perfect hint of Coachella glam to the mix. Tapas can replace the traditional turkey.

3. Charcuterie Centerpiece

The natural vibrancy of earthy pink centered figs, deep purple grapes, chartreuse pears, burnt orange pumpkins, and creamy cheeses create the perfect focal point on a farmhouse tablescape. Not only does it make the perfect excuse to gather closely around the Thanksgiving table, but it’s a casual, easy way to serve your guests before the big feast.

4. Scattered Sprigs

When it comes to tablescapes, the fall magic is all in the details. Add a sprig full of autumn berries into each linen napkin, wrapped delicately with twine and a handwritten message on a vintage tag.  Use earthen vases to hold long french rolls for added food flair. Then scatter acorn accents across the table and add brass silverware to contrast the earthen vases. The mixture of materials adds both a playful and artistic feel to the functional side of the feast.

5. Green with Gratitude

Our designer, Paige Joseph, shares a love of forestry with her client. So she designed a dining room lush in greenery with spruce green velvet chairs, curtains, and a Where the Wild Things are wallpaper. She then brought real foliage into the house by sprinkling autumn leaves across the central table runner and adding sprigs of eucalyptus to each earthen plate. The miniature white pumpkin candles inside cylinder vases atop tree trunk platters was yet another perfect ode to nature. The mid-century modern light fixture and West Elm expandable dining table makes for the perfect gathering space for the whole family.
