There’s nothing like getting into the holiday spirit than transforming your home into a winter wonderland that will make Santa feel right at home. So get ready for the big day when he comes down the chimney with these easy tips to transform your living space into a Christmas spectacle.

1. Inspiration comes from within

No need to spend a fortune on a complete room overhaul. Use your core color palette as a base, and add small, inexpensive seasonal touches to create your holiday look. Erica used the french vanilla color palette of her home to add milky white nutcrackers, winter cottages, and a beaded garland. She even sprinkled in some traditional spruce green and red plaid accents with her garland and pillows.

2. Deck the Halls - And your Bar Cart

Dress up your booze with pops of color, gold sculptural elements, and glitzy drinkware.

You can even display ornaments in a tall hurricane vase to add levels to your bar cart. We think this one adds a particularly festive element to your holiday display.

3. Do Taboo

Faux white christmas trees get a bad rep for being cheesy and plastic. But we love a rebellious underdog, so we challenge you to elevate your space with this winter wonderland taboo like our client Whitney did for her dining room space. The gold ornaments and twinkle-lit reindeer make for the perfect accents to that top-of-tree-star level sophistication. Not to mention it goes great with her rattan light fixtures and jasmine flower tablescape.

4. Cozy & Bright

If you have more of a modern style home, we say mix in some traditional elements to add a cozy feel. Add textural items like fluffy Christmas pillows, soft throws, colorful stockings, and twinkling lights aglow. After all, holidays are all about relaxing and enjoying quality time with friends and family, which is hard to accomplish if you can’t get cozy! Besides, who can argue that a pine tree doesn't go perfect with a tree-shaped tripod floor lamp?

5. It Takes a Village to Create a Home

We mean this quite literally. Use your hallway or entryway table to create a small winter village inside your home using little houses, figurines, and mini twinkling trees. Add a bushy garland and you're golden!
